How long is the programme?
Funded or co funded NVQ training is offered to eligible candidates above 19 years of age and with no previous level 2 qualifications in the field of interest. The programme is made up of a set number of mandatory and optional units for which competence must be proved in order to achieve the qualification.
Fully funded apprenticeship training is available to eligible 16-24 year olds, who are not in full time education and do not hold a higher education award. The training takes up to 9 months for level 2 and 12 months for level 3 and is delivered through monthly tutor visits, workshops and reviews.
Non funded VRQ training is available to newly promoted managers, team leaders, supervisors etc. The training takes generally between 12 to 24 months to complete and is delivered through teaching, practice and assessment processes. Certificates, diplomas, and postgraduate diplomas are awarded at the end of the courses.
